It's the final hours before we have to leave our kingdom to get back to our mundane lives. It'll be hard to adjust once we get back after being treated like queens for the past 5 days and even had a street unoficially re-named in our honour.

We wanted to check out a few more things, hoping to get some jamu and maybe some belinjo, and fulfil some orders we got from home. So for today, we went on a spree in the supermarket and got a glimpse of some of the extra large fruits that they seem to have in stock. I thought that the avocados I saw in Perth were huge, but these seem bigger. Avocados weren't the only huge thing - they had papayas that were as huge as $10-a-piece durians and durians bigger than your head! Then I came across some instant cuppucino that mom liked and got a few boxes after some calculation. We checked out at the cashier with a cartful of stuff, sat down to enjoy a nice rootbeer float to refresh ourselves, and then took the scenic route back to repack.

Since it was really nice out, we headed out for a last stroll along "our" street while taking pics, and also went to check out if the dress Didi requested was done. We're not too sure what happened to the lady that owned the shop but she didn't open the day before either. Well since Didi didn't pay for the dress, we weren't too bothered about it. We ended up at the beautiful beach and got some pics there too - some with a very photogenic drop of perspiration , some with a bit of surfin action, and some of a smart little dog who knows how to have a seista like a pro!

On our way back after the filming, we stopped at the Bamboo Corner where I got my favourite avocado juice and Didi got herself a watermelon juice. We then continued to the little stall next to the resort which Didi decided to try when she saw the amount of people having their lunch there the day before. Once that was done, we were back in out room and started on the packing since we both weren't really hungry. When we were done, we couldn't wait to tuck into our lunch but we still had some willpower left to take pictures. Making this last lunch in Bali a special one, we decided to go back to the village (since the resort feels like one), sit on the floor and enjoy our feast with our hands.

Water Tanks Both Of Us

The rest of the day was wasted away in the room watching their interesting tv programmes. I was lucky I had a translator because, other than BBC, which was dubbed over in Japanese at night, all the channels available were in Bahasa Indonesia.

As I did the final packing of toiletries, Didi decided that she wanted to wash her hair and asked for some of my shampoo before I locked it up. Thinking that she wanted to have a shower, I left it on the side table where she promptly squeezed some onto her palm and worked it into her scalp, all this while lying on the bed! How can I not take a picture of this nutcase and her antics? After I got a few shots, she decided to continue infront of the sink and it took a few more before she decided to take the whole thing into the bath.

Soon we both got ready, checked out of the resort and made our way to the airport. We were there rather early and decided to cool off inside while we waited for our flight counter to open. After dumping our stuff into cargo, we got out to wait for Desak and Wayan who had arranged to meet up. It was great meeting with them once again but as usual, meeting up just before you have to fly is not enough time to really catch up and enjoy the company.

After we left them at the gate and settled all the immigration stuff, we were soon allowed to board the plane that would bring our butts down from cloud 9. This time, we had to wait for another flight to land before we could take off and I didn't realise that until I noticed a light that seem to light up the sea every second. Finally realising that it was the floodlights on the plane, I was hoping that I could get a nice video of it (but it was really dark and all u notice is a white dot moving). As usual, the meal was yummy and good thing they didn't have salmon as the main dish this time. The appetizer was rather simple and I don't know what made me turn it into a sandwich and eat it that way instead. Didi exchanged her appetizer for my mashed potatoes and the smoked slicesy of fish and marinated artichokes were quickly stuffed into my little overflowing sandwich. Can't forget the rich creamy dessert that just melted in your mouth. The pudding had a nice little touch of coconut in it which went really well with the sea coconut. Finally e touched down in Singapore and it was really nice at night with all the lights. I wish I could get the video up but there seems to be an error and no program that can edit it at the moment. Trust me, I've really tried!
