Once again I'm on the 1a.m. flight from Singapore to Perth and this time it was a really bumpy one. We had rather bad turbulance about 4 times, which isn't something I usually experience on this flight, and one was rather horrible. The rest of the flight was alright, though I wished I had an empt seat next to me. Instead, there was a rather big bloke next to me who had stinky breath, and, I suspect, had too much eggs the day before. Seems like when the plane was ascending or descending, I seem to get a whiff of disgusting eggy farts, and a few more in between during the flight. Breakfast on the plane looked rather blah... but it was amazingly tasty and a really nice change since the past 3 flights in. The only thing I would ask them to reconsider is to use fresh mushrooms instead of canned ones. Other than that, the landing was to die for. The plane landed so smoothly, no one noticed it landed until the brakes were applied. Kudos to the pilot. Hmmm... think I shall email them a comment.

After clearing customs and the crazy-tail-wagging sniffy beagle, I turn out of the doors to seem my sis waiting at the new cafe just outside the arrival doors. Looks like Dome has competition? We lug all the heavy crap (which cost me an additional $210) into her car and I felt like I was sitting in the F1 car on the way back to her place.

We got all the stuff back into the house and got Brendan to come out to fix up the DVD recorder I had brought - yep, that bloody thing weights a ton and if it wasn't put into the trolley bag, I probably would have dumped the bugger on the conveyor belt. Anyway, while he was busy hooking the thing up to the tv and stereo, Imp brought me around the house and showed me my bit of the house during my stay, her dying plants, and her little sea-in-a-tank with some rather strange behaving fish. Then it was time to try and get used to the DVD recorder and it's functions, and it was a bit confusing as mom was the only one who really knew how to use the thing while I only knew how to surf through programs and watch stuff she's recorded. Imp cooked some instant noodles for breakfast and after catching up some, we all took a nap before Imp had to go to work for a meeting.

After work, Imp came back just as we got ready and headed out to some cafe named Rino's. Got no idea where the place is, but the one we went to was in a rather decrepit-looking area. The place was rather empty, but both Imp and Brendan were singing praises about the food, and they tell me they never have had dessert there cos the portions are rather huge. Taking their warning, as the digestive system hasn't been having a good week, I decided to order a bowl of chili mussels, Imp took some fish dish, and Brendan got a hawaiian pizza - of all boring things to choose... Anyway... the food came and my bowl of mussels came in a bowl that people at Zi Char stalls would normally serve the large bowl of soup in... about as big as my head, and I've got a big head. It probably had a kilo (with shell) of mussels in the whole bowl and I almost went sick at the prospects of having to finish the whole thing by myself. Thank goodness for me, Brendan is a big fan of shellfish and was willing to trade his last slice of pizza for a third of my mussels. Talking about his pizza, that thing came and covered half his table. I doubt the table for 4 could actually sit 4 if they all ordered pizzas. Nothing else would have fit on the table! Then after finishing everything, which I totally forgot to take pictures of, I asked if anyone wanted dessert, and both of them were apparently full. ALAMAK!!! So I ordered a lemon meringue pie anyway, and we shared it so they could actually try some dessert from the place. The meringue was really nice, not too sickening and sweet, but the custard was a bit overwhelming. I think I prefer Cafe 211's lemon meringue pie which has a thinner layer of lemon custard, but it's really tart and goes well with a pot of tea. Anyhooo... the pie crust was really nice. Finished the bit and we were back to the house.

After having such a late and heavy lunch, Imp and me were rather stuffed, but Brendan, a.k.a. Food Monster, was getting hungry within 2 hours. I got a feeling playing PS3 makes his food digest faster? So he kept asking what we were gonna do for dinner and Imp told him to cook dinner and all he thought up was omelettes. From the smell of his cooking, his omelette probably tasted really good, and it looked good too... but he was actually making a frittata - smart boy. Imp decided to cook pasta and asked if I wanted some, but didn't have enough stuff to make 2 spicy tuna pastas, and so I decided to make my fave aglio olio, along with some mushrooms and leftover chicken I dug out of their fridge. Somehow the dinner was simple and yummy.

Finishing that, they decided to watch 'The Bourne Identity', but within the first hour, my eyes were closing and I decided to head to bed instead. 10.30p.m and I'm heading to bed.... unusual ... but I've been up, other than the 3 hour nap, since the previous day.

Zzzzzzzz.....
