My sis decided that she wanted to hold a small barbecue here for some close friends and family while I'm here. The funny part about the whole thing is that the close friend and family didn't even come.

We had shopped for the food and drinks after the boat show yesterday and this morning was spent cleaning the grill and setting things up before everyone arrived. Once people started coming by, Brendan was "getting his grill on" (and at the same time nagged by my sis).

Charlie (Brendan's big bro), WaiLing and their baby girl, Lizzie were the first to arrive, with Sam in tow. Lizzie was running around pulling stuffed toys out and then got distracted by her dad and Sam throwing the football around. Then she started getting in on the game.

Next was Collette who arrived just in tome for some Mimosa, although ours were not sweet enough as we used fresh peaches, but still fun to have a peach bobbing about in our drinks.

Then it was Brendan's colleague (who looks like Sam) and his girlfriend (who reminded me of Paris Hilton), followed by another colleague and his friend (both that seemed like they were on drugs, and I think it was confirmed they were). Then Cherie & 'The Vet' (totally forgot his name), the other 2 Singaporeans, were the last to arrive and complete the guest list.
One of the two drugged up buggers (the pot-bellied one in green) was actually turning most people off with how obnoxious he was. He kept eavesdropping on our conversation and put in his 2 cents' worth, and even threw in a comment about how he didn't understand when the Singaporeans were talking. Well no one wanted you to listen in the first place.

The other one was slightly more entertaining with his bad coordination, stupid jokes, and at one point, even sat on part of his own sandwich. He, however, gave me insight on a subject that probably was supposed to be a secret between Brendan and the people at work. Looking at the faces of everyone when he blurted out the question, I think they were all afraid at the outcome. I think even my sis was a bit shocked and let me in on the whole story.

Well in the end I just got a bit bored with some people and started taking pictures of planes flying by.

After almost all the food was gone, everyone started leaving and we were left chilling with the other 2 Singaporeans, polishing off the last of the Sambal Belacan Sotong! Definitely something you don't get often enough in Australia, and with it actually packing a punch, it was something that couldn't be left alone.

Once it started getting too cold to stay out, we headed into the house and that's when the games started. Racing each other, it was laughs and cheers going around as everyone was trying to beat Cherie. Somehow the conversation shifted to games of the past, and it was then you realise just how young Brendan is - when he was the one looking dumbstruck while all of us were laughing about Western Bar!

This was also the night I find a new little game I like.
