All our bags are packed and we have the last 2 bowls of instant noodles for breakfast, and one really tasty breakfast it was. Somehow the instant noodles here have a lot more body to them, with a lot of ingredients, but they could still do with an egg inside.

Just as we finish our noodles, all the electricity in the room shut off, letting us know it was time to check out of the hotel. I think it's a good idea, but a rather risky thing to do if someone's computer is powered straight from the power point and the guest wasn't quite ready to check out. Anyway, that's a problem the hotel can deal with on their own.

With half an hour left to waste before our transport arrived, we sat in the lobby, and at the same time, filled in some postcards to send to friends. The sky seemed to be getting darker as we waited, the wind started to pick up, and it started drizzling, probably causing our transport to be a little late. I'm not sure if he thought he had to rush to make up for time but our driver was going rather fast, and at one point, nearly got into an accident. Thank goodness his breaks were working well and his reaction quick enough or we might have ended up on the plane with bandages if we were lucky.

Made it to the airport in one piece and what do we do after checking everything in but to eat. Well the other purpose was also to use the internet so we could check out what we could do in Hong Kong. Airol, however, was more interested in making sure his virtual pet was happy.

About an hour later, we boarded our plane and we were making our way to Hong Kong only to be stuck waiting in line for the runway. It was so backed up that planes arriving were also joining the queue as the gate they had to dock at was blocked by planes waiting to take off. So finally the control tower gave the okay to go and we were up in the air.

After the little problem with the food from the transit in Hong Kong, we made sure that Airol got a meal that didn't contain any pork. I think his curry chicken meal was probably better than mine, which was a little bland even with salt added to it. I think the airline needs to check on their caterers, or at least pay some street vendors that can do a tastier job.

Not long after, we were in Hong Kong, dragging our bags to the nearest taxi available, which couldn't close it's boot as our bags we just too big. And just like in Taiwan, it starts to rain just as we get out of the hotel to look for dinner.

Using a map, we navigate to the nearest street that I remembered had something to offer late into the night, and our first stop was at a 7-Eleven to get some drinks. At the same time, Airol gets some snacks, and I decided that we ought to get an umbrella since it seems to rain every night. We continue on our night exploration and ended up having dinner at a seafood restaurant as the rain started to lighten up. Dinner was basically noodles and seafood. We had some mantis shrimp, scallops, oysters and clams. Except for the noodles, the flavours of the seafood was definitely different from what we're used to but it was really nice, especially with ice cold beer.

Since the night was still young, Airol wanted a ride on the bus, 'to anywhere that can shop' he said. I wasn't really in the mood to go just anywhere for some reason, and with the rain, all the street stalls seem to have gone into hiding. But we took a bus anyway and got down when we saw someplace we could shop. Airol did manage to get a few t-shirts, and we also got some adult magazines (which were really gross and I don't understand how it would appeal to anyone), and with us, there's always food for late night snacking emergencies. Then it was back to the tiny hotel room, and research for tomorrow's destination - Disneyland!
