Woke up again for breakfast and this time we exchanged orders. There's something about the noodles in their Mee Goreng that I really like. It's springy and has a bite to it. Another nice breakfast to start the day but we decided to stay close and come back after getting some money changed. On the way we spotted a shop selling some nice dresses and batik sarongs. Didi got a few dresses and I got a few sarongs I liked before we headed back to sleep in a bit more. The night before was spent staying up rather late watching Indonesian programs. The one I like so far is the comedy skits that they do in the show called Extravaganza, which was a little like Comedy Night on TCS8. The characters really go all out and can really hold in their laughter. Even with the language barrier, I still got most of the jokes and also realised that one of the actors looked like Wayan.

Once we were in the room, Didi started modelling her new dresses for me and I decided to use her as a guinea pig for my make-up skills. First off, let me say that I didn't have a wide range of colours to work with and I don't use cosmetics, or much of it. Secondly, this was just for fun, why should I make her up for a nice dinner out? So I took the opportunity to see how good I'd be with stage preformance (getai) make up! In the end, she wiped it all off and showed me another freak-show style of using white-out over the eyes. Yes, it's a popular style for some girls, especially the ones in the clubs, and basically it looks like crap.

Helloooo?

After all that fun, I decided to take a few pics of the place since it was still bright out and wanted to take a pic of the big pot outside the room that I liked. We also took the time to check out the few cute guys that checked into the room diagonally opposite ours. After that it was just watching tv and drifting off for an afternoon nap.

Cute But Rather Messy

When we got up later, we decided to walk out and take a different turn from yesterday to explore the rest of the shopping "district". We got a few gifts for people back home that liked automobiles and haggled quite a bit before we got him to agree to the price we want. Guess it was all the training I got in Thailand. Finally we sat down to a nice Nasi Padang (rice & assorted food) dinner at a little shop set up in a corner. A short cab ride back and it was more tv before we were off to dreamland.
