So off to T3 we went to get ourselves on the Qatar flight to Jakarta and ended up waiting for about an hour while the plane landed, unloaded, reloaded, and finally we got to board. Discovering our seat, I was kinda pissed off that some idiot decided to use the seat and leave it like a trash bin, and even left the used sock with the magazines. Gross! Good thing the flight was less than 2 hours and I just chucked the socks on the floor. If the staff don't bother why should I? Plus a flying sock, if that ever happens, won't hurt no one.

Waiting To Get Off The Plane In Jakarta
After getting through all the necessary mumbo jumbo, we were to meet our driver at the gates. Instead, we were greeted by my dad, who upon seeing my mom, was so shocked his eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Hahahaha! See after pulling sneaky surprises with my grandparents and sis, I thought it would be a great time to get him back. And get him back I did... here he was expecting my friend to come with me and sure enough, my best friend tagged along. Hahahaha!
With the traffic jams all over Jakarta, it took about an hour to get to the apartment, and I took the opportunity to nap in the van since I haven't slept since the day before. So once we got to the apartment, I was kinda refreshed and was running about checking out the facilities and getting pictures of the whole place.

On the first night, dad brought us to the shopping centre just across the road to check out the DVD shop he patrons regularly. After 15mins, my parents decided to get a big bunch of discs and we were off to another shopping centre for dinner. I'm not exactly sure which place we went to after, but it has one of the shortest escalators. It looked a little like KLCC on the inside, nice and clean (read: under utilised floor space), and looked expensive. Dad lead us straight to the basement where all the food outlets were as it was already waaaaay past his dinner time, plus why bother with shopping when all the shops weren't the kind we were looking for? Anyway, I got to try donuts from 3 different store (heaven = triple choc donuts from Dunkin Donuts!!!) and that lasted about 3 days. First night there and we had Thai food. The food was nice, but I was looking towards nasi padang? Anyway, dad kept saying it was because I was having stomach problems... so ok... valid excuse. Tomorrow we eat!
