Before I even booked my flight here, my sis already told me about this event as she was part of the organising committee, and got me a ticket. Other than the Royal Fair and Curtin's Pasar Malam, Oktoberfest was one other event that I was really looking forward too.

My sis was even considering dressing up for this but since we couldn't get costumes at the last minute, we decided to just dress comfy and just enjoy the night with our complimentary steins. After picking Collette up from her place, we got there around 6pm and already some people were already doing odd things. Somehow that's something normal in this school.

After getting our coupons (to exchange for drinks and food), we got our first beers and head round the back to get some German grub as all of us were already starving. The food options were rather limited and I guess that was why we all opted to get giant hotdogs and loaded it up with potato salad, sauerkraut and lots of mustard for me.

Once we were done with dinner, it was time to start on my beer-tasting adventure. Number 2 on the list was Dunkel, which my sis and Collette calls 'Beef Stock Beer'. They said that when they had it last, it looked and smelled like beef stock, and it was much too rich and felt like you were drinking beef stock. It turned out to be my favourite beer of the night and it didn't feel like beef stock going down. It didn't even feel as heavy as Guinness.

The night went on with a few more beers, a couple of mixed drinks, good music, a few fights, lots of fun, and some really odd people. One guy started talking with me and ended up giving me a short shoulder massage, while another one keep going around asking people how many beers they've drank and marked their wrists. He had some theory that he could mark enough people and figure out how many beers were drunk during the event, but I think he was passed out on some bench at the end.

After my sis and Collette started to feel like they've had enough, we left my sis' car in the school and got a cab home. For all the fun we had, I collected a few steins that weren't mine, got my eye nearly poked out by my sis, and she lost my glasses too. Collette found the male toilet's sign and we kept it just in case she wanted to hand it to the school but I think she forgot about it.
