11 Dec 2005

Today was a lazy Sunday with Michelle bitching about somebody as she drove us to get groceries for Tuesday's dinner. With their friend returning tonight, we made good use of it before handing it back. After getting groceries, Michelle drove around looking for something but gave up when we reached a really peaceful road lined with Jacaranda trees. She started to slow down and literally took a Sunday drive which ended at the park at the Applecross Jetty. Along the way we saw this guy picking up his dog and chucking it in his car, getting a glimps of two adorable white dogs peeking out from under the dashboard. We actually just wanted to drive around, taking in the sights and the beautiful houses along the river when the guy with the dogs drove up next to us. Once he opened the door, they just leaped out and ran, enjoying their freedom. So since my sis and I got out, Michelle parked the car and we started walking around, taking photos and wishing one day we'd have houses right next to the sea.

Getting Ready....

Trying To Throw My Sis Into The Sea

Once the sun started to set and the temperature dropped, we got into the car to take a slow drive viewing the river-side accomodations. The little tour ended as we reached the main road and made our way towards the Malaysian restaurant Michelle suggested for dinner. Another chinese dinner that I didn't need. Give me a bloody break! I go to a supposedly non-Asian country and I'm eating a whole load of Asian food. Anyhoo, seems like I'm eating to live at this point.

Interesting Thing At Dinner

We had to make our back to drop off the groceries before they leave to pick their friend up from the airport. Good thing about the low temperatures is that the trunk of the car acts just like a cooler box, and if you got anything frozen, it's cold like a fridge. Being good friends, they decided to give the car (rather dirty one at that) a wash, scrub, some vacuuming and freshen it up as well. Everything went well until they sprayed the car with the "new car" scent and realised that it smelled like someone, who hasn't showered for months, had slept in the car. So we threw all the doors open and did a second vacuuming for any spots they missed. As most of the smell was gone, they finally agreed to my first choice of "pina colada" which was nice and fruity, but with the lingering "new car" scent, the car smelled like it had a stinky fella slept in it and spilled some Malibu all over.
