It was Daryl's day off and he had to get some shopping done and so he joined us on a trip out to the city. Daryl suggested this Korean place for lunch and when he found out they didn't have kimchi we went to my sister's choice, the Pancake House.

Looking at the menu, it was hard to choose which one dish I wanted as they all didn't sound interesting and my sister couldn't even give a recommendation. But after I turned to the desserts, I had a harder time choosing only one! Well somehow I made up my mind and we all ordered something different. And only today did I realise that they have a rather cute, and evironmentally-friendly, way of serving chilled water.

Bluberry Heaven (Indeed)

After all that food, it was time to work it off with a bit of shopping. As it was getting late (i.e. 5pm), we split up to get our individual stuff done and met up once the shops started to close. Earlier, Daryl invited us to his place for dinner and so we dropped him off at his place, while we continued back with our stuff. Travelling around WA, I noticed a whole lot of these purple Jacaranda trees and I'm still not sure if they were giving off a nice fragrance.

Once the 2 nuts were dressed for the cold night air, we were off to Daryl's place for my first taste of his cooking. As we were slightly early (due to stubborn defrosting prawns in cold weather), my sis decided to test the waterproof features of my camera by dipping it in Daryl's fish tank and snapping pictures of some comical goldfish.

When the stubborn prawns got out of their igloo, dinner was served. Not sure if he was trying to hide something or just setting the mood, Daryl dimmed the lights and lit some candles for us to enjoy his cooking with a bottle of chilled wine (c/o Michelle & my sis).
