07 Dec 2005

We had to get up slightly early today as the 2 nuts I'm staying with wanted to move their council's office furniture. We head off towards their university, munching whateva we could grab while running out of the house. On the way to the school, I thought they were passing a really nice forest/park until they informed me that it was actually part of the school.

We get there slightly earlier than Russell (Mr Strongman), who was also asked to help, and went to get some proper breakfast from one of the schools many food outlets. When we were almost done with breakfast, Russell got there and most of us started moving things about while Michelle tried her very best. In the end, Michelle moved the pantry , gave up and started mucking around with Russell as the poor victim.

Caversham Wildlife Park Guide??

Russell had to leave once we were done moving and Michelle promised him a dinner next week made by my sis (not that my sis would mind). Michelle and my sis then went through the junk they had in the office, considering what they should keep in the office or their home, while unanimously voting to throw everything out. They also showed me the previous issue that looked like the very first issue of any free magazine you find in a coffee house. Michelle also posed for some pics that could be included in the next issue that's centered around food.

One Way To Enjoy Food

Michelle then drove all of us out to Garden City (or Water Garden to her) Shopping Center, the only place that has a LUSH shop in the whole of WA (guess bathtubs aren't popular). Along the way we passed over the Swan River and got some gas too. My sis was told off for taking photos in a gas station. Good thing she wasn't on the phone and smoking a cigarette at the same time.

Gone Fishing....

We get there and do some Christmas shopping as well as get some emergency items from The Body Shop. By the second day my lips were cracking and my nose felt like sand paper. I think it was the cold winds that sped up the drying process but it was nothing a bit of lip balm, aloe and a whole load of water couldn't cure.

Sad Huh?

Time to get lunch and they wanted me to try Miss Maud, some Swedish yummies. Honestly I wanted to try the whole menu everywhere I went but obviously it was impossible when they don't serve "itty bitty bon appetit" portions. I forgot what I ordered exactly but I do remember the minestrone soup. That soup was rich and thick like a stew, packed with all sorts of vegetables and beans yet still held on to the full flavour of the beef stock, served with a lovely toasted seseme bun. That minestrone soup was so good I basically forgot the rest of the day, shopping in zombie mode. Hahaha
